Vatican Reclaims Its Errant Bishop

VATICAN CITY A Zambian archbishop whose marriage displeased the Vatican is giving up his wife and returning to the Roman Catholic Church, the Vatican said on Tuesday.

It said Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo was severing his relationship with the Reverend Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church. The archbishop was married in a mass Unification Church ceremony in May in New York.

The archbishop's wife announced that she would begin a hunger strike. She vowed to starve herself until she saw her husband. He was said to be on a retreat.
