Rev. Moon Will Speak in Omaha

BY JULIA MCCORD

WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

The Rev. Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, will speak in Omaha on Friday.

Moon will deliver the keynote address at the "Stand Together America" banquet at the Omaha Marriott Hotel, 10220 Regency Circle.

Moon, 81, is on a whirlwind 50-state tour. He has spoken in St. Louis; Cheyenne, Wyo.; and Des Moines in recent days.

Moon will address the breakdown of the American family and how to restore it, said the Rev. Mark Lincoln of Omaha, pastor of Nebraska's only Unification church.

Moon last spoke in Nebraska in the early 1970s. His wife, Hak Ja Han Moon, spoke in Omaha in 1993.

Since there are so few church members here, Lincoln said, Moon's appearance is a "tremendous blessing."

Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the banquet at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 a person, $30 a couple and $40 for a family.

For more information, call 933-3030.
